Minnesota NOW
The Minnesota Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) is a multi-issue, grassroots advocate working for women’s rights in Minnesota. Unlike single-issue groups, Minnesota NOW works on the whole range of women’s issues, which allows them to shift focus when the need or desire arises for the maximum benefit of women. Minnesota NOW also serves as an information resource for women, students, media, government and international groups.
Minnesota NOW has approximately 2,400 members and receives its primary financial support through membership dues and contributions. Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission of the organization. For more information, visit www.mnnow.org or call (651) 222-1605.
Lex-Ham Community Theater
Since its start in 1995, the Lex-Ham Community Theater has striven to achieve its mission of producing quality theatrical experiences by and for the residents of the Lexington-Hamline and surrounding neighborhoods in St. Paul. The company has enhanced the local theatrical scene by selecting lesser-known works by noted playwrights, giving the regional and world premieres of works by local authors, reviving wonderful classics, and winning awards at the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres play festivals.

In 2001, Sweet Charities Theatre Company was formed with a vision of producing great quality theatre which Twin Cities based organizations could use not only as fundraisers, but as an opportunity to expand the awareness of the issues that they champion. Sweet Charities has won awards in two statewide competitions since its inception. State of the Union marks the 8th production for Sweet Charities Theatre Company.
